With everyone’s busy lives, it’s easy to get distracted.
Work, family, friends and even personal commitments can seem endless, leaving little time for self-reflection. Tapping back into your own ESP may seem like just another task to add to the list, but ultimately it is the most important one. Only from a place of clarity can you proceed with success.
If you find you are feeling off balance, here are some quick and easy daily practices to get your mind/body/soul back on track.
- Meditation – Sit crossed legged on the floor, close your eyes, breath in and out deeply—all it takes is five minutes! Meditation connects your breath to your body, making you more aware of how you feel. I often like to light pink himalayan salt candles when I meditate as well. They are said to improve mood and concentration, but if nothing else provide a nice glow.
- Positive Affirmations – Place your intent for the day, and say it out loud. What do you want to happen, where do you want to place your energy? Whether it’s a short term or long term goal, affirmations or visualizations take five seconds and can positively affect your day (not to mention your life).
- Pilates & Yoga – Pilates and yoga practices have long time been linked with the mind body connection. It’s not something you need to do for an hour either! 10 or 15 minutes of stretching can make the difference. Here are some quick videos I personally love and often do at home.
- Sun Shine – Going out in nature raises appreciation and awareness. Take a quick stroll on your lunch break and instantly feel the benefits of having stepped out into the fresh air.
Finding your center doesn’t have to include an acupuncturist. Simply taking a few moments out of your day to tap into the body can do wonders and I hope you too can find ways to incorporate some of the practices mentioned above!
